About the event
Middle school can be an exciting time of growth, but it can also bring challenges such as academic stress, social pressures, big emotions, and changes in self-confidence. Creative Arts Group offers students a welcoming space to slow down, connect with others, and explore healthy ways to express themselves.
Led by an expressive arts therapist, this is not a therapy group, but a therapeutic, skills-based enrichment program that uses art, music, movement, writing, mindfulness, and imaginative play to foster social-emotional growth and overall well-being. Through engaging creative experiences, students will develop skills in emotional awareness, stress management, self-regulation, problem-solving, communication, resilience, and self-confidence.
This group may be especially beneficial for students who:
Experience stress, worry, or overwhelm
Have difficulty expressing emotions or finding the right words
Are navigating friendship challenges or social pressures
